Complete Bio
Sir Reverend Paul Lachlan Peck is widely known as an author and minister. He spent many years at family counseling, conducting interdenominational services from coast to coast, lecturing and writing. He was the Founder and Pastor of Arete' Truth Center , an Interdenominational church.
Prior to entering the full-time ministry, Reverend Peck served as a Vice President of Syracuse University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Manhattan College (Bronx ) over a period of fifteen years. While at Syracuse he served as a director and trustee of The University Hill Corporation, having to do with the planning and development of that section of the city. When at Fairleigh Dickinson he started the first ever charitable giving program with the use of credit cards. He holds a BA. Degree in Marketing from the University of Connecticut, a M.Ed. degree in high school administration from Westfield State College, Westfield, MA and a Th.D. (Hon) from Bernadean University, NV. He was ordained by Truth Center of California in 1972. While at Syracuse he served on the Chaplains’ Council of the University, and as a volunteer Chaplain at Auburn State Prison for one year.
Always fond of music, Paul joined the Trinity Church on the Green, New Haven , CT Boys Choir as a soprano when he was eight years of age. Later, he studied with Robert Wright Yingling at Storrs , CT and Frederick Jagel of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston , MA . A member of the University Choir (CT), he also sang with the Clef Dwellers Barbershop Quartet, the Choral Society, and several other music ensembles. He was a tenor soloist for more than twenty-five years in various churches, including the Christian Science churches in Watertown and Syracuse , NY .
Books have always been his close companions. The E. S. Bird Library at Syracuse University Rare Books Department is the repository for his extensive The Reverend Paul Lachlan Peck Bloomsbury and Modern First Editions Collection.
He is mentioned in several books: "Other Healers, Other Cures" by Helen Kruger, "The Astral Journey" by Herbert B. Greenhouse, and "Psychic Horoscopes: Horoscopes of Famous Psychics, Mediums, et al” by Tom Csere.
Peck was knighted by the international charitable Order of Sts. John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta for his many years of service to youth in the area of drug abuse and suicide prevention. His memberships include(d) Daylite Masonic Lodge #41 in Las Vegas , NV , The York Rite Bodies (Chaplain) and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Zelzah Shrine, the Syracuse , NY Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, where, when he was President of the Chapter, led a drive to establish a lending library on the Onondaga Indian Reservation. He was also a member of Rotary International during his professional years. He has served the Girl Scouts of America and the American Red Cross as a Board Member and Trustee.
Peck is currently a member of the Dana Point/Capistrano Beach Historical Society, the Lighthouse Society, Friends of the Dana Point Library, and is the Co-Founder and President of the Dana Point Earth/Ocean Society.
Peck is the author of a seven-book series entitled, Freeways to Divine Awareness, which includes Footsteps Along the Path; Inherit the Kingdom; and Milestones of the Way. Peck also penned several other books, all of which are listed in his blog.
Peck is listed in the 1992-Present editions of Marquis' Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in Religion, Who's Who in America , and Who's Who in the World. He has recently been invited to deposit his books, manuscripts and ephemera in the Manuscripts and Rare Books Department of the Ernest Stevenson Bird Library at Syracuse University .
Paul Peck’s family consists of three children and eight grandchildren living in Delaware , New Jersey , and California . A son lives with him in Dana Point, CA where he continues to write and to mentor an autobiography workshop.
